Sunday Breakfast

These past weeks have been a whirlwind of stress and absurdity, to say the least. I found myself turning to my witchy side, attributing some of the chaos to Mercury Retrograde, although I know it's not solely to blame for all the madness.

Let me fill you in on what's been happening. It's quite a wild ride, I assure you.

Firstly, there was this project at work that I had been involved in since last year. It was one of those situations where office politics intertwined with the task at hand. Many people contributed data, but there were discrepancies and disagreements on how to proceed. Despite the challenges, I managed to compile the document by the end of 2020. However, it turned out that others were also working on the same project without knowing about my efforts. This led to some misunderstandings, and recently, we discovered that one annex of the document wasn't updated. While it wasn't a major issue, it caused quite a stir among my colleagues. I corrected the mistakes and updated the document, but the reaction from some of my peers was as if a major catastrophe had occurred. It was frustrating, but I decided to let it go, chalking it up to the chaotic energy of Mercury Retrograde.

I sought guidance from my Tarot decks, and The Tower card appeared, signaling upheaval and revelation of truth. It felt strangely fitting for the situation.

As if that wasn't enough, my classes in the Master's Program intensified with an overwhelming workload. We were bombarded with projects and readings, with one class requiring us to digest a staggering 600 pages in a single week. It felt like an endless cycle of assignments and readings, leaving me little time for anything else.

To add to the chaos, my house sprung a leaking pipe, adding yet another layer of stress to my already hectic life.

So, what's the plan?

First, I made myself a coffee and indulged in some brain-sustaining treats (donuts, in my case). I then prioritized my tasks, breaking them down into manageable chunks and focusing on what needed immediate attention. While I couldn't tackle everything at once, I identified what was essential and set aside what could wait.

I realized that while assignments and essays were crucial for my grades, readings could be postponed or skimmed through after class. With no tests looming, I had the flexibility to adjust my study approach.

After a packed week, I treated myself to a special Sunday breakfast – poached eggs and a hot sandwich with roasted mushrooms. It was a much-needed break before diving back into homework, and it instantly lifted my spirits.

Despite the chaos, finding moments of relaxation and indulgence helps keep me grounded and motivated.

Happy Sunday!
